PROFILE

For over 40 years I have worked in the furniture industry producing high-quality, handcrafted, bespoke furniture. I have produced many contemporary pieces, but with a background in traditional furniture I am able to reproduce period styles to match existing suites or make classic pieces.

Each product is individually made so accommodating even minor changes is no effort. With so much mass-produced furniture customers often need items made to a specific size to meet their requirements. Sometimes a need for a certain function, a dining table to extend or extra drawers in a cabinet might be the driving factor or something to match existing furniture.

With extensive trade experience, these can be easily undertaken whilst paying keen attention to detail and quality. I work mainly in solid timber, primarily oak,  but also in ash, elm, maple, cherry and walnut, with every effort made to ensure that these are sourced from sustainable woodland. Working closely with my timber merchants, wood is usually specifically purchased for each item so quality can be assured. Specialist tradespeople are used for turning, carving, veneering, upholstery and French polishing, which helps me maintain my high standards of workmanship. I work for architects, interior designers, furniture designers and other furniture companies, but the majority of my work is direct to private clients. Based in Crayford, Kent, I am able to supply furniture across the UK, delivered to the door anywhere from Plymouth to Aberdeen. With a large, well-equipped workshop geared for one-off manufacture, making bespoke furniture can be achieved efficiently, ensuring affordability.
